We bring in the new year with a movie Aaron told us about, a new Drafthouse release called Dangerous Men! After watching the trailer, it was clear we needed to watch it. After copious amounts of tequila, we discussed this very strange picture.
It's an exciting time on the show when we can watch a submission! They might not even know we do a podcast but hey, they know we like movies. Erik's sister recommended the 1982 post-apocalyptic-fantasy-sci-fi-adventure She!
We recorded this 1 year ago and thought it was relevant for Thanksgiving day tomorrow! Enjoy this Thanksgiving slasher discussion from out super early years. Those were some rough times for us so heads up. This will not appear on our main site, just a treat for all of those downloading our episodes! I think I might actually regret uploading this.
We are keeping up with Horror Movie Month by watching a DOOOOOUBLE FEEEEEATURE! We watched May and The Loved Ones, a couple of SCAAAAARY LAAAAAADIES! We had b-movie professional and our friend Fallon come on to help us dive deep in to the insanity of a woman.
On this week's episode, we did something we've never done before.... We covered THREE movies. That's right. That means we sat through 3 movies in a row and then recorded this VERY long episode after. It was grueling. Aaron's back in town to discuss all three of Neil Breen's movies; Double Down (2005), I Am Here.... Now (2009) and Fateful Findings (2013). Listen up to find out how they all measured up during our ratings! This episode is a healthy 1 hour 45 minutes, so god bless you all.
On this week's Second Class Cinema we finally got around to not only recording an episode, but watching a movie submitted to us! We watched 2005 horror/vampire movie Blade of the Vampire! Someone actually bought Blade of the Vampire for us to watch. Hard earned dollars. For us to watch this. Thanks for allowing us to watch this Scott! THANKS! We had an interesting time rating this one that's for sure.
It's the LAST day of Kid's Movie Month! YAAAAAY!!! We felt like wrapping the month up with something a little strange, and that was the 1988, sci-fi/thriller Nukie! Ok maybe it wasn't a "thriller" but Nukie IS terrifying. Jimmy came on to talk about this one with us to help figure out who Nukie is, why he's here, and why he just won't die. We go over whether or not this movie would be watchable for children today as well as a long detailed list of what we think Nukie is ACTUALLY made of. LISTEN UP!
For the second episode of Kid's Movie Month we had our friend Aaron come over with a movie and he brought the 2002 fantasy movie Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings! Not only did he bring that but he also came with a very big secret to let us in on as well, as a matter of fact we all let everyone in on a personal secret. We'll cover the movie and much, much more all on a great episode of Second Class Cinema.
As a group we decided enough was enough and we were going to see something new to review for once, so we ventured out to see teen cyber-thriller Unfriended. After seeing the trailer before It Follows, it seemed like it was going to be at least a semi-good time. Was it? How do you think it measured up during our Fucking Ratings?
