Episode 57 - Revenge of the Ninja (1983)

November 23, 2015

It's been a bit but we're finally back at it with Erik's pick this week, 1983 ninja classic Revenge of the Ninja!

If you're interested in watching it, here's the link to it on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dMGzBy52q0. There are a ton of other great movies on The Paramount Vault channel as well!

Episode 55 - Night Trap (1992)

October 29, 2015
October is just about over, Halloween is approaching and soon we will have nothing to do but transition into Christmas movies. We say goodbye to Horror Movie Month in a strange fashion with Erik's pick this week. Sega CD seems to come up a lot on this show as a reference of quality so Erik decided to choose the 1992 Sega CD release Night Trap. We know this is not a MOVIE but we viewed it as if it were one anyway. There are a lot of different versions of this on YouTube and you can see the one we watched above. Ryan of Fat Foot Films came on to talk about this his experiences actually playing AND beating this game. Overall it was kind of weird but we somehow managed to cram this in to our format. Happy Halloween!

Episode 50 - Wild Zero (1999)

October 6, 2015

We take in our 50th episode with Erik's pick for our horror movie adventure this month with the Japanese horror/comedy Wild Zero!  Yes.  We did in fact play along with the drinking game portion of this movie.  Our friend Jimmy comes on to help us drink, discuss and debate.

Episode 46 - Thunder of Giant Serpent (1988)

September 7, 2015

On this week's podcast we discuss Erik's pick, the 1988 Godfrey Ho monster movie Thunder of Giant Serpent!  This is Erik's second time picking a Godfrey Ho movie, the first being RoboVampire.  We had our friend and fellow b-movie lover Fallon on to help get in to grave detail the deeper meanings of girls mounting snakes.  It get's real analytical-like here on the Second Class Cinema this week so listen up and find out how it may have impacted our ratings!

Episode 42 - Robowar (1988)

August 10, 2015

We watched Erik's pick this week and that was the 1988 movie Robowar!  Predator meets RoboCop when a bunch of guys just wander around the jungle unloading their automatic weapons on things they think they see.  Erik has a predilection towards "Robo" movies and I think we finally get it now. Listen up as this episode gets -GREASY-.

Episode 39 - Laser Mission (1989)

July 23, 2015

On this episode we discuss Erik's pick, 1989's action movie Laser Mission.  With Brandon Lee leading this one, it was difficult to dislike. We have some mixed reviews but also a lot of favorite parts.  Enjoy this pretty short episode!

Episode 35 - 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (1998) & Surf Ninjas (1993)

June 22, 2015

It's still Kid's Movie Month and we had ourselves a DOUBLE FEEEEATURE!  It was ninja night here on Second Class Cinema as we watched both 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and Surf Ninjas! Erik picked Surf Ninjas while we decided to pad out the ninja night with 3 Ninjas HNAMM as it's been requested by multiple people.  Tyler decided to come on by (who is ultimately getting the blame for 3 Ninjas) to help us to discuss these movies.  Which one of these is ultimately the best ninjas movie for kids?

Episode 31 - Counterforce (1988)

May 27, 2015

On this week's episode we discuss Erik's selection, the 1988 action movie Counterforce!  Listen on as we're both confused and bewildered with this movie's motivations, plot, characters, and whatever the hell else is even in a movie.

Episode 28 - Sudden Death (1995)

May 6, 2015

This week is Erik picked the 1995 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie Sudden Death. Erik chose this movie purely based on it's "second class stakes", a fireman must save the Vice President held hostage at the Stanley Cup by a bunch of mean guys. Sure sounds second class to us. This is by far our longest episode yet and we're not quite sure why.

Episode 24 - Expect No Mercy (1995)

April 13, 2015

In correlation with the new Mortal Kombat coming out, Erik selected the 1995 virtual reality action movie Expect No Mercy with Tae Bo's own Billy Blanks. Favorite parts aplenty and a truly surprising rating.
